Science for Peace is a project born thanks to the initiative of Umberto Veronesi with the intent to seek concrete scientific solutions for peace.

21 Nobel Prize Laureates, numerous scientists and eminent personalities of culture from all over the world have answered Umberto Veronesi’s call.

The Goals 

1. Diffuse a culture of peace and overcome tensions among States

Science for Peace wants to educate to peace through awareness and divulgation activities addressed to civil society and to schools.

2. Reduce nuclear weapons and military expenditures in favour of major investments in research and development.

Science for Peace asks the European Governments to transfer part of the resources assigned to the military sector, to the research and to social urgencies.
