The Science for Peace World Conference
The Science for Peace World Conference is an opportunity for international debate where the causes of conflicts are examined, as well as the solutions offered by the scientific world in favour of the prevention and resolutions if those causes.
The Third edition of the Conference will take place in Milan on November 18th and 19th, 2011 in cooperation with Università Bocconi at the Aula Magna of the University.
Nobel Prize Laureates, scientists from every field and eminent personalities will convene in Milan in order to present their proposals.
Topics that will be discussed:
- Social and Political Transformations in the Mediterranean area
- Access to water and food
- Prevention and treatment of major diseases
- Economic Sciences for Peace
- Science and civil Rights
- Traffic in arms, the UN Arms Trade Treaty on transfers
- Cartooning for Peace
- Technology for Peace
